The Sales Development Network was founded by Alex Milne with the purpose of helping both struggling and successful businesses enjoy profitable growth through strategic planning, sales driven marketing, and sales training / coaching. Alex’s extensive business development background began as an Account Manager for the Cumulus Corporation back in 1991. It was here that he was first exposed to the basic selling concepts upon which his career has been built. Quickly rising to the top of the sales force, Alex built a very profitable account base from the ground up and was consistently one of the company’s top sales producers.

In 1998, Alex joined the Mnet Corporation as the Director of Sales Development. His immediate initiatives included the hiring and training of a proactive inside sales force and establishing and managing a selling relationship with the video communications division of SBC, a former competitor. In addition, Alex developed a customized CRM system that was used to generate and manage a sales revenue pipeline of $3 million dollars.
In 2001, Alex returned to Youngstown State University and earned his Masters degree in Business Administration. Alex has also completed a number of sales training programs including the Sandler Selling System and holds various Cisco Systems sales certifications. It is his firm belief that continuing education, positive thinking, and a successful track record are the characteristics of a top quality business leader. |
